Herefordshire PR agency supports Leominster Foodbank

B Corp accredited PR and marketing specialist agency Pinstone has pledged to support their rural Herefordshire food bank in Leominster during Lent.

Catherine Linch, managing director and founder of Pinstone says:

“As part of our B Corp commitment, we have been actively engaging with our local community by supporting Leominster Food Bank over the past couple of years. This has involved the team packing boxes and making donations of honey from the Pinstone orchard.

“The Food Bank service, founded in 2012, is currently in temporary accommodation following roof repairs and due to storage restrictions, they are unable to accept donations of food from the community. But we still want to lend our support.”

With the demand for the Food Bank service as high as ever, a current solution for the town’s food bank is monetary donations. These funds enable the charity to buy food vouchers, which families qualifying for the Food Bank service can use directly at supermarkets to purchase food for themselves.

“As a team, we have a tradition of buying chocolate for our office each week. This Lent, we have decided to donate double the equivalent of our usual chocolate shop fund to help this invaluable local service run by Kathy Bland and her band of volunteers,” explains Catherine.

“This is just one way to help Leominster Food Bank raise funds whilst they are unable to take food donations at a time when they are in high demand – we understand vouchers have been used by 251 adults and 152 children in February alone.

“We would like to encourage other local businesses and individuals in the area to donate to the cause too, however big or small the financial donation, during the prolonged cost of living crisis.

“Our team is incredibly passionate about being B Corp certified and this is one way to show how we can be a force for good in our community,” concludes Catherine.
